The mount was custom designed, and fan adapters were based on a specific design found at: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:715119. It held the e3d v6 firmly in place, and the cooling system proved to be highly effective. The z-axis experienced no loss of height with this mount. On 25.5.2015, an update was made to the radial fan adapter to version 3, which resolved issues that caused filament jams due to excessive airflow from version 2. An update on 18.04.2016 added source files in step format for users who requested them and also introduced a new v5 fan mount with a simplified design intended to improve printing quality, featuring an added beam that directs the airflow away from the nozzle, although this modification is purely theoretical and not guaranteed to be effective. When creating these prints, use PLA, setting slic3r to 0.3mm layer height and around 25% infill. The fan adapters can be printed with just a shell layer thickness. M2.5x14 screws with nylocks are used to secure the mount onto the effector platform, while m2.5x8 screws connect the top and bottom parts of the mount together. The fan adapters were specifically designed for 50x15mm blower fans, requiring slicer/cura to be set to a maximum of 50% speed for optimal performance.
