E3D V6 Raised Dwarfstruder
thingiverse
A custom modification has been created by merging the Dwarfstruder and Raised J-head mount designs for use on the Ord Bot Hadron. This modified design is optimized for the E3D V6 hotend, requiring a thinner slot for the head compared to standard J-heads. It's designed specifically for 3mm filament usage. To minimize drafts on the build area caused by the fan, additional fins have been incorporated into this revised model. The original resin fan mount remains intact on the hotend. This creation builds upon the Dwarfstruder concept by employing the same geared stepper motor from 2engineers at a scale of 1:50, along with other metric components like nuts and bolts, springs, and various other items. Updates are as follows: The recent alterations to the base were initially conducted using a standard J-Head slotted base due to a later realization that utilizing the V6 E3D Hotend would introduce slight wobbling due to the difference in slot heights. Further testing is currently underway to rectify this issue, and new files will be uploaded once the process is complete. Changes made on 12/28/2014 included lowering the fins to accommodate more clearance for the fan shroud, improving the base's guiding hinge mount by enhancing its design and decreasing the inner hole diameter to its proper size. Additionally, the length of the guide arm was increased to enhance alignment with screws, mirroring it so that the nut trap falls on the same side as the stepper motor, making assembly easier. Finally, the guide rail screw bar was incorporated into this model for simpler filament replacement operations (drawing inspiration from litwon's quick-release lever design inspired by Wade). A radius was added at the top of the guide to facilitate the usage of the mentioned guide rail screw bar.
