E3D V6 Mounting Plate for Anet A8 (fixed nut traps)
thingiverse
The oversized mounting holes in the original design allowed M3 nuts to start spinning wildly as soon as any significant torque was applied. To fix this issue, I've reduced the hole diameter to 6.4 mm (measured corner-to-corner), resulting in a snug fit that keeps them securely in place and prevents them from falling out or getting stuck. Additionally, I've minimized the size of the M4 holes for an even tighter fit, which should eliminate any unwanted movement and make it easier to bolt or unbolt the hotend. In my previous experience, I had to resort to jamming Blu-Tack down the original holes with the nuts just to keep them from coming loose. The mounting holes for the belt holder were also misaligned in the original design, but this has now been corrected.
