E3D v6 Mount - Suit Anet A8 Fan Ducts
thingiverse
Whilst using Tech2C's E3D Prusa i3 mount, I was losing approximately 15mm of Y-travel. Additionally, I did not like the available fan duct options. I have designed this mount to utilize (most) MK8 Extruder Anet A8 fan ducts, including Semi-Circle, Full-Circle, and Mistral designs, while also accommodating an E3D v6. Furthermore, this design provides increased visibility of the nozzle for print monitoring without sacrificing build volume. The STL files contain a bridge helper on the clamping holes for the E3D mount, which can be cleared using a 4mm drill or by pushing through a 4mm bolt and cleaning up with a hobby knife. I am currently employing Leo_N's Mistral 2.1, but other ducts should function properly. This design is compatible with mounting to Prusa i3 Rework X-Carriage (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:119616) or similar 22.5mm Hole-Centre carriages. The Marlin settings required for this mount are as follows: define X_MIN_POS -14 define Y_MIN_POS -13 define X_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER 38 // X offset: -left +right [of the nozzle] define Y_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER 6 // Y offset: -front +behind [the nozzle]
