E3D V6 Mount for Da Vinci PRO - Slight Modification To Zac Alsobrooks Design

thingiverse

This is a slight modification to Zac Alsobrooks' E3D V6 Mount for Da Vinci PRO, found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1289659. The original design featured #4 metal screws for clamping the two components together. This remix replaces those #4 screw receptacles with M3 nut mounting instead. To secure the nut in place, epoxy or a similar adhesive is needed, but the part's dimensions ensure it should fit snugly into the mount despite common ABS shrinkage percentages. This design change allows frequent disassembly without machine screws degrading material to the point of ineffective clamping over time. Please note that this is only the mount and requires the other part from Zac Alsobrooks' original design, specifically the fan shroud.
