E3D V6 hotend with BLTouch for Linear guide and 2020 Extrusion

This assembly is an E3D V6 hotend with BLTouch, direct drive, and a standard blower fan mount with duct. This mounts directly to an MGN12 linear rail/guide block, which is mounted to a 2020 extrusion. The orientation of the X-axis drive motor should be vertical shaft with the belt running equatorial through the extrusion gap. The assembly has a belt clamping mechanism on the bottom. Some useful features of the assembly: Complete isolation of the E3D V6 heatbrake cooler with an upward air deflection 40mm fan mounting for the heatbrake cooler (Noctua for silence) BLTouch mounting behind part cooling fan duct Part cooling fan duct has a mounting point to the main body Both part cooling blower fan and duct have a 2mm mounting gap to add a rubber washer for less noise (can see it in the .3mf files) The extruder is part of the main body to add rigidity Nearly all of the mounting holes have a captive nut Things you may need to complete this assembly: Parts: Nema 17 stepper motor E3D V6 or V6 clone/J-head BLTouch (optional) 5015 blower fan (the most common, I recommend ball bearing type) 40mm fan (Noctua recommended) Hardware: Various lengths of M3 and M4 hardware in button and socket head fasteners with nuts (it's good to have lengths from 8-25mm on hand) 694 (RS, Z, or ZZ) ball bearing for the extruder idler MK7 extruder drive gear M3 and M4 rubber washers short length of PTFE tube M6 pneumatic fitting (optional) Print Settings Printer: P2020 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.16 or 0.20 Infill: 20-40% Filament: Hatchbox PETG, ABS, HIPS, ASA any Notes: I dont recommend using PLA due to the lower melting temp. If you have access to a good printer with soluble supports, use It for the main body as there are a lot of small areas and it will take a lot of time to remove any support material. Print the blower duct in resin if you can since it is 0.6mm thick and the ABS-like resin from elegoo is heat resistant. How I Designed This I designed this in Solidworks and have attached the Pack'n Go assembly file. I may update the part files over time. Category: 3D Printer Extruders
