The key considerations for this design were: To make it easy to access and remove the Hotend quickly A modular, snap-in design that allows for optional parts like Fan mounts and Proximity sensors The E3D must fit tightly into its housing Support for larger Proximity sensors with an 8mm sensing range Ability to attach a popular Cable Chain Important: print resolution must be at least 0.2mm or better Infill of 80% or more is required, especially for the part_back and part_front Update 2: The front part has been improved for easier snap-in onto the back part. Some additional information: Back: Print with an infill of 80% or more to ensure a tight fit between the hotend and its housing. If you don't want to use the cable chain, there's an option that uses a cable hook instead. Front and Fan mount for Hotend Cooling: This design snaps over the top of the hotend to prevent it from moving in the Y-plane. For extra security, a self-tapping screw can be used (see picture).
