E3d V6 Fan Duct - Modified
thingiverse
A tweaked alternative for the E3dV6 blue fan duct has been created, serving as a replacement option when the original unit fails. My own E3dV6 blue fan duct cracked in two, prompting me to design and print a new one; however, this prototype developed a leak that directed air directly onto the heater block, leading to my hot end stalling at 235 degrees. This modified design extends the flange by 2mm and fortifies the upper lip slightly. As a result, I have been able to successfully operate my printer at temperatures exceeding 260 degrees without encountering any issues.
