E3D V6 Fan Duct for MendelMax 2
thingiverse
Mounts two forty-millimeter fans, one for the hot end and one for the printed part, as well as three five-millimeter LEDs around an E3D V5 or V6 hot end on a Mendelmax 2 X carriage. Print Settings Rafts: Doesn't Matter Infill: 0.15 Notes: I used supports for the straight parts of the fan ducts, but it should be possible to print without them if you want to. Print with ABS, PA, PET, PEI or similar materials. Post-Printing It is mounted using five M5x10 bolts and nuts. You will need to extend the four-point-two-millimeter holes of the X carriage with a drill. I used three super-bright white five-millimeter LEDs in series with a one-twenty Ohm resistor on twelve volts in parallel to the hot end fan connected to twelve volts. There are feedthroughs to wire the LEDs. The frontal fan cools the printed part and is controlled by the microcontroller.
