E3D V6 Ducts! (simple modular fan adapter for 40mm and 45mm radial part coolers)
thingiverse
My E3D blower system comes equipped with two small radial fans: generic 4020 units and TFB45A 45mm fans from SEPA. When working on the heatblock, you can unclip the fans for access while leaving the heatsink fan in place - a handy feature. I've modified the 'official' e3D duct body by extending it with angled and spaced mounting brackets to either side. The `-dc42` version of the body features a cutout and mount lugs for a DC42 IR sensor. The fan ducts are printed separately and clip snugly onto the duct. Dividing the design into two separate models makes it very printable: print two fan plates and one main body without support, as oriented in the files. Note that the body may need a brim for adhesion, while the `-DC42` version of the body requires support for the lugs. Next, fit the fans with 3mm screws (self-tap) and clip them together. Some pins on the body allow you to add a small o-ring for extra security if it starts rotating around the heat sink - mine did when printing PCABS at 290c, but results may vary.
