E3D v6 Duct Modified for Bowden Extruder (K8200)
pinshape
I modified my E3D fan duct at the request of Robscar, whose bracket system is used on his K8200 printer. I made a minor change to the duct mountings and also tweaked his bracket for a snugger fit. This modification should allow the duct to be used on more systems and make the design more versatile. I'm hoping this works out well and expands the number of possible uses for the duct. The changes I made make the design a bit more generic, which is exactly what I was aiming for. UPDATE: Due to numerous requests, I've made several significant updates to the design. The 40mm duct now has its mounting moved to a modified 30mm E3D shroud. This addition comes with magnetic couplers that simplify assembly and removal of the ducts. It's just a matter of pressing parts together. I've tested this redesign and it holds up well, with all parts fitting snugly in place. My printer has been testing this design for over a month now, and I'm happy to report that there have been no failures. The fans hold firmly while still being easy to assemble.
