E3D v6 Duct Modified for Bowden Extruder (K8200)
thingiverse
At Robscar's (http://www.thingiverse.com/robscar/about) request, I modified the E3D fan duct (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:494430) to match his bracket system for his K8200 printer (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:808238). The changes involved minor adjustments to the duct mountings. His bracket was also tweaked slightly for a potentially tighter fit. This modification may allow the design to be used on various systems. It makes the design more versatile, possibly suitable for a broader range of applications. I hope this revision meets expectations and increases the versatility of the duct. Robscar's adaptation is likely more universal. He had asked for a revised version of the original E3D fan duct with adjustments to improve fit and performance on his K8200 printer's bracket system. The updated 40mm duct and its modified 30mm E3D shroud design include magnetic couplers, streamlining the assembly process. Multiple fans hold firmly in place without compromising ease of assembly or disassembly. This new configuration has undergone rigorous testing for over a month on my K8200 printer, resulting in flawless performance. Both fans remain securely attached while still allowing effortless removal and replacement when necessary. To ensure continued improvement, feel free to share requests and suggestions with me anytime.
