A compact carriage design featuring an integrated fan duct, compatible with the Folgertech FT-5 R2 and E3D V6 hotend with bowden configuration. The optional BLTouch mount is included for enhanced precision. A small hole at the top allows for easy mounting of an RJ-45 breakout using a single screw. The heatsink fan is mounted in the rear, providing a clean look while maintaining access to the heatsink. The design includes a built-in fan duct for a 50mm blower, ensuring efficient cooling performance. With only five parts required, assembly is straightforward: the carriage front and back, the clip for securing the V6 hotend, and the BLTouch mount with a square washer. Designing mounts for various z-probes should be relatively easy by modifying the BLTouch mount. All components can be printed without supports or with minimal supports from the build platform for the front mount. To ensure proper fitment of the v6 mount, recommend printing the clip first and adjusting tolerances as necessary before assembling the carriage. Optimal print settings include a layer height of .2 for aesthetic appeal, but .3 worked well during prototyping. When using the BLTouch mount, it's recommended to sand the back of the carriage where the washer hits to improve grip. A printable setup guide is included for determining the correct height of the BLTouch probe. Simply place the probe in the hole and lower the head until the nozzle touches a flat surface. Updates have been made to the design: CarriageFrontDuctMinus2mm.stl has been added, which lowers the fan ducts 2mm for users with silicone socks on their heater block. Additionally, a 12mm sensor mount is now available, but it remains untested.
