E3D V6 Bowden Printrbot Simple
thingiverse
I'm still awaiting my E3D V6, but it's en route to me now. As soon as I get it, I plan on giving the bowden setup a try. Unfortunately, every mount design that I found includes the tube connector built directly into it. Since that wouldn't work with my current hot end configuration, I was forced to modify my existing bowden tube mount to remove the part of the clamp that holds the tube itself, thereby exposing the top of the hot end where the tube attaches. Now that the bowden tube no longer connects at the mount's original point, it's a little clearer why my fix was necessary. My understanding of CAD modeling is pretty limited, so I appreciate any advice you might be able to share with me on this project. In an effort to provide even more rigidity to my assembly, I also added a small hole to allow for a nut that would fasten into the third mounting screw. Once everything is in place, I should have enough torque to lock down the rear of the bowden clamp properly. Update: Using nylon bridge filament, I just got it all dialed in and the bowden works perfectly now!
