E3D V6 bolt on mount for Solidoodle
thingiverse
This is my take on the E3D V6 hot end mount, originally designed by Lawsy and modified by Wardjr so all credit goes to them. This version uses screws and a bracket to hold the E3D V6 hot end very tightly, eliminating all wobble entirely. Update 08/17/15: If you have upgraded to an E3D hobb goblin drive gear, a new tension arm is now required. I have attached it for you, which still uses a 625zz bearing, M5 bolt cut to length, and two M5 washers. I highly recommend this upgrade, as it has added even more resolution to my prints significantly. Update 11/11/14: I also added the filament guide and tension arm STLs, originally designed by Lawsy, so that everything you need is in one convenient place. Update 11/18/14: After downloading the files, I noticed that the bracket was not printing right, so I ran it through netfab to correct this issue, which worked beautifully afterwards. To ensure this didn't happen to others, I included a fixed version of the files (just look for FIXED at the end of the filename).\n\n \n \n Essential Steps to Follow\nTo assemble your print perfectly, I recommend printing it with at least three perimeters and high infill percentage for maximum strength. You will need some longer M3 screws - I used M3x30 mm which fit just right. If you're like me and have a printer that slightly over extrudes, consider placing a washer between the two pieces or the bracket might experience minor flexing issues. To keep your wires organized and tidy, run them through the loop provided for added convenience.
