This is an adapter for E3D V6 and V6LITE for Printrbot Simple 1405 Makers kit. It was modified from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:559657, requiring additional parts but eliminating glue attachment to hotend, allowing for easier PTFE adjustments. Additional required parts: Printrbot simple E3D V6 or V6LITE Top piece and hardware of Printrbot Alu Extruder (download STL at https://www.youmagine.com/designs/printrbot-alu-extruder#information if not available). Instructions: Print all pieces with current hotend or have them printed. Rotate fan 245 degrees on Y axis. Cut away walls 0.4mm thick included as support material using needle nose pliers, angle cutters and/or forceps in difficult areas. Swap cooling fan for new one. Secure front left and back piece of extruder to E stepper motor with 3M bolt and 3 nuts. Insert assembled E3D hotend (overhang of back piece helps hold it in place). Slide front right piece into front left piece, secure to E stepper motor. Adjust Auto-level probe at http://printrbot.com/project/simple-metal/. Flash Printrbot with Marlin firmware using version that matches thermistor type used by E3D. Frame movement issues: adjust max X position or probing points if frame starts driving itself into print bed (frame hits M3 screws on last probing point). Wiring notes: Use 22awg male/female "premium breadboard connectors" for hotend wiring. Cut close to connector, solder to wires and fit into molex connectors (some need one corner cut).
