Update (24/03/2021): Motor mount has been updated and i have used this design for the past 3 month. Everything is working as expected so i will no longer consider this project as a work in progress. Enjoy!. After getting tired of the MK8 extruder included with the geeetech I3 Pro B, I decided to change it for a E3D V6 but didn’t want to be a Bowden extrusion type. So I designed this adapter that uses the same extruder carriage. Parts that you won’t need from the original mounting mechanism: Copper sink. That’s it the rest you will use it. Supports only touching build plate Notice: 1) The screw that was used to hold the handle has been relocated and needs to pass through the top left corner of the fan, support number 2 and the handle. It will just sit there, there is no need to tighten it. If you want you could use a longer screw for securing everything to the motor. 2) You need to put 3 M3 washers before putting the 2 bottom screws of the fan. (In each screw). 3) The “endstop.stl” file is a supplement that you have to put in the top screws that hold the carriage to the sliders. This way it will trigger the end stop earlier so that the fan doesn’t touch the Z axis. If you have any doubt, just ask me.
