I've been relying on a genuine J-Head for nearly five years now, but it's finally time to swap out the old hotend for a new one. The heater block alone costs around $25 in US dollars, and all I really needed was a fresh nozzle - since the block and nozzle are combined on a real J-Head, it made sense to upgrade to an E3D-V6 clone instead. With this new clone, switching out just my nozzle is a breeze, which will definitely come in handy when I need to swap between 0.6 or 0.2 nozzles rather than being locked into a single 0.35 size all the time - and it'll only cost less than $1 per piece. When my new E3D-V6 clone finally arrived, I discovered that the tiny 30mm fan used a smaller 2.00 electrical connector compared to the 2.54mm header on my previous 40mm fan, so I quickly whipped up a simple adapter and now it's securely attached to the heatsink of my new clone. It snaps into place just like the original V6 clone fan did, and despite the inevitable backflow, the 40mm fan still blows out way more air than the smaller 30mm fan does.
