E3D V6 40mm fan adapter

E3D V6 40mm fan adapter

My metal hotend was crying out for more cooling - a 40mm x 10mm fan was better, but still not enough - so I decided to swap it out for a 40mm x 20mm fan, and now everything is just perfect. The new 40x20 fan comes equipped with M4 screws and weighs significantly more than its 40x10 counterpart. To make the most of this upgrade, I designed an adapter that brings the fan as close to the hotend as possible - and, naturally, it features M4 threads for seamless integration. When working with materials like PETG or ABS, which can handle higher temperatures than PLA, you'll want to take advantage of this increased cooling capacity. To add an extra layer of protection, I slipped a small piece of aluminum foil at the bottom of the adapter - just in case things get a little too hot to handle. UPDATE: I've since added a M3 version for those who prefer a more compact setup.
