E3D V6 30mm Fan Part Cooler
thingiverse
This is my take on the "Fang Part Cooler". I have been using a fang cooler for some some time but it used 40mm axial fans, I wanted to use 30mm axial fans, I also wanted to used a radial blower fan for my heat sink. Initially I tried to change an existing design but struggled so decided to start from scratch. This cooler is for a genuine V6 hot end, I have not tried it on any clones so I don't know if it will fit? I have designed it so it will screw onto the original V6 fan duct, if you have an original duct then you should have the m3 self tapping screws to affix it, bare in mind these screws also pass through the brackets that hold the radial fan in place. (I did have to cut my screws down as they were too long) The part cooling fans are 30mm axial fans that also come with the original V6 hotend, and again, if you have the fans then you should have the fixing screws? The radial fan is 1550 12v blower fan, I used an M4/20mm cap head screw to fix the fan to the bracket. My hot end is using an E3D Titan direct drive extruder and this cooler fits very nicely, I would imagine it will fit with a bowden set up without any issues, but I haven't tried myself. I haven't used my printer much but what I have made printed without any issues using this part cooler. I used a custom support for the fan opening, my slicer of choice is Cura.
