E3D v5 Mounting Plate or Base for Extruder

Update 6/21/17: I created this mounting plate as a replacement for my E3D, so I designed a proper one here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2398040. This mounting plate allows you to install an E3Dv5 hotend to your extruder with ease. It's a design I found on thingiverse that had serious flaws, which I decided to fix. -Mounting holes are now properly sized and aligned to the extruder. -Added nut carriage holes to the locking clamp. The original version had undersized holes that required additional drilling. The original version relied on plastic to lock 3M bolts. After testing this mounting plate, I'm somewhat satisfied with its performance. I noticed flexing in the original version, so I recommend using at least 50% infill. Also, E3D gets very hot, so I recommend printing this in ABS. I advise against using the "simple" versions of this mounting plate. The simple versions don't lock the hot end throat and will have lateral movement along the X axis. I made the mistake of printing a simple version and was shocked by this movement. Features: - Standard 50mm mounting holes (size from hole to hole). Recommended settings: - ABS - .2mm layer height - 50% infill Required Hardware: - 2x 3M nuts - 2x 3Mx25mm bolts
