E3D v5 Fan Shroud
thingiverse
The original design was for the E3D v5, not the current v6. I grew tired of the stock shroud's constant movement and vibration. This replacement part fits perfectly over the entire heat sink, with a printed c-clip that securely locks it in place. To print it, follow the instructions provided in the file for optimal c-clip printing. Use ABS filament, MatterControl software, .2mm layer height, 25% infill, and enable Lines Support and Support everywhere options. Set the Z support distance to .2mm and the x/y support distance to .8mm. The support can be easily removed, and the heat sink snaps right into place.
