E3D V5 E3DV5 3D Cover silicone; casting mold

Hello, this casting mold for silicon cover fits E3D V3 hotend block. I use layer high 0,1 dia 0,4. You need metric M3 Screws and a thread driller, but you can also heat up screw a bit and cut thread with screw at self. For easy silicone release i use liquid wax for cavitiy sealing, but silicon spray or other realeasing agent will also work. If you are not sure about your block dimensions. The core of the mold casting is the dimension of the block! There you can measure the dimensions. You can use two component silicone or cartridge. The two component is more affine to bubbles as industrial silicon. Because the industial silicone needs more pressure and push the air out. The two component silicone type is hardening very fast, only one hour and you can use the cover it. The industrial silicon needs air to hardening, in my test it took two days to hardening and for that i removed the top cap after 24hours. under it the silicone wasn´t hard! Slide the top a bit side to side. Don´t pull away straight. Slide away sideways. If its away wait on more 24 hour to remove the core. I think it will took on week for hardening if you not remove the top after one day. But if you are patient its maybe the best to be save.
