My XYZprinting DaVinci 1.0 AiO printer has been working smoothly for a few months with the Repetier firmware. Unfortunately, the original extruder is not up to par. I decided to install an E3D V6 extruder, making minimal modifications in the process. Here's a support for the E3D that can be mounted in place of the original one without altering the head. This setup doesn't require a Z-prolongator. We'll confirm this during the first test and update accordingly. The original extruder is direct drive, but I'll be mounting it as BOWDEN, so I need to design a support for that. That will also be updated soon. ### Update 06/07/2018 I've modified the E3D support because during the prototype installation, some adjustments had to be made. ### Update 10/07/2018 Added necessary parts for completing the assembly. I just finished installing everything. ### Update 13/07/2018 The first test didn't work out!! The filament passes through the extruder in reverse compared to the original setup, so I need to invert the motor's rotation (by swapping two wires). And that solves the problem!!! ### Update 14/07/2018 Second test: printing starts well and at the end of the first layer, the bowden tube comes loose from guide fil2. So, I've added a hole in this guide fil to attach an axle for securing the tube - a simple paperclip will do. Third test: printing is perfect!!! ### Update 09/08/2018 After several prints, it appears that the extruder's guide filament is too flexible and moves with the force applied by the extruder. This part has been modified to rigidify it, ensuring more precise filament output.
