E3D Nema 17 Slimline 26mm Extruder Stepper Motor Bracket/Support For OpenBeam Kossel

Human: Needed a compact bracket to support the E3D Slimline Nema 17 Motor, which has a 26mm long body and is used in their Titan Extruders. I needed mine mounted this way to reduce issues with the extruder bringing the filament off the spool above it. I was inspired by jnaulets' great design on Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:829038), but here I have taken away the neck, cut out a section for the 4-wire connector socket, and created several versions. Nema17SlimlineBracket and Nema17SlimlineBracket_v2 are similar except the M3 holes to secure to the frame are different distances apart. I prefer Nema17SlimlineBracket because it's easier to pick up the M3 bolts which you have already put into the channel, stacked on top of each other (a little bit of Blue Tack in the channel helps keep the nuts handy and not slipping down). Nema17SlimlineBracket_v3 has a channel for the wires at the bottom of your frame - I haven't tested this but as long as you are okay with printing overhangs then you should be good. I am not that picky to have to hide the wires everywhere. Nema17SlimlineBracketEnd and Nema17SlimlineBracketEnd_v2 are similar except v2 has a little nub to fill in the gap of the cutaway for the 4-wire connector - again depends how stylish you want it to look. If you want to save the tiny bit of filament then print the Nema17SlimlineBracketEnd version. It is snug as the brackets fit in the channel that runs down the corners of the motor (you should be okay to push but if it's too difficult then run a knife down the edges of the print of the interface with the motor) and stops from flopping around. If there is a little bit of play then put a thin sliver of rubber in there to fill the gap - if this is a common problem then I can make a version of the bracket a couple of mm shorter. I printed these at 40% infill, 0.2mm layer height, and PLA material. You will need: * 3xM3 8mm bolts for attaching to the OpenBeam. * 2xM3 20mm bolts to attach the end to the bracket. As always tighten well but not too much - I hate hearing that crack when you turn half a turn too much... Screw the bolts through once before fitting to make things easier for the actual fitting. Hope you like it (it's my first uploaded design).
