E3D Hotend mount for CTC Prusa i3 DIY with 40mm fan and filament cooling
thingiverse
I was pretty disappointed with the standard extruder on my CTC DIY 3D Printer, so I decided to swap it out for a bowden extruder and an E3D V6 clone. The hotend came with a super tiny (and really loud) 30 mm fan, so I wanted to use the bigger 40 mm fan from the standard extruder instead. And I also wanted to add some extra filament cooling using that same fan. Here's what I came up with to attach the hotend with the 40 mm fan to the existing screw holes on my CTC DIY where the old extruder was mounted. To mount it, you'll need six 15 mm M3 screws and six square nuts.
