E3D Heatsink 40mm fan assembly (model3)
thingiverse
This is a significantly enhanced version of the original setup\nThe air channel from the fan has been modified to connect directly to the heatsink, resulting in a slightly wider design on the left side and noticeably more room on the right side. The intentional asymmetry was designed to allow for seamless integration between the heatsink and the BLTouch support.\nThe existing shroud functions flawlessly, but I sought to reduce air resistance through the heatsink while maintaining flexibility for easy removal and installation. Additionally, it retains full access to the Volcano for effortless nozzle changes.\nThe screw holes are designed to accommodate either M3 threads or self-cutting plastic screws; alternatively, a 3mm drill can be used with precision.\nThe results are exceptionally smooth :).\nThe test print was executed in Polycarbonate (as seen in the accompanying images), resulting in a material that is both flexible and rigid. It can be easily removed without compromising its stability or integrity.\nPrint settings utilized include a 0.6mm nozzle, 0.32mm layers with support enabled, but not excessively so\nThe print was successfully executed at ABS temperatures of 240°C with the bed set to 110°C, and PC temperatures of 310°C with the bed set to 125°C.
