Compact Fan Mount for E3D with LEDs To Create This Design, You Will Need: 1 x 40mm Fan 2 x 5015 Fans 3 x 5mm LEDs 1 Resistor A fan controller is necessary since two 5015 fans move a lot of air. At full speed, this design will cool down the hotend, making a fan controller a must-have. This compact fan mount was created to slow down fans and reduce noise. It slides over the heatsink, so be sure not to push it straight on or it may break. Edit: Two new versions have been added - one without holes for LEDs and a single-sided version. This design gathers wiring in the middle, cleaning up the look. This Compact Fan Mount was designed using two existing files from Thingiverse. For the LEDs, three 5mm white LEDs were used along with a resistor. A LED calculator was used to determine the value of the resistor.
