E3D Duct for Makergear M2
thingiverse
To enhance my M2 printer's performance, I installed an E3D hotend, which has resolved previous issues with the stock unit. Dissatisfied with available cooling fan ducts, I designed my own parallel versions for both X and Y axes. Choosing the X-axis version due to better print bed visibility, it offers clearance and doesn't obstruct the extruder carriage movement. Share this useful design! To print without support, ensure your printer nozzle is small enough; in S3D Creator, set inner fins at .35mm. Attach the duct to the E3D fan shroud with two holes and use screws that grip heat-sink fins for a sturdy assembly. Note the proper orientation required due to off-center nozzle placement.
