I designed a custom mount for my E3D Cyclops nozzle to fit perfectly on my MP Select Mini 3D printer. The original design was based on a Cylops clone purchased from eBay, but the holes aligned perfectly with my printer's carriage. To attach the first part to the X-axis carriage, I removed the old nozzle and two bolts located behind the X-axis belt. Miraculously, my plate attached securely without damaging any parts, including the X-axis belt and carriage. The second component is a shim that pushes the nozzle forward, making it slightly more aligned with the original nozzle's position. This part also acts as a cover to sandwich the small nuts from the original mount between its layers. To reinforce the assembly, I pressed the two nuts into the plate, which significantly strengthened the mount and prevented it from coming loose. When creating this custom part, it's essential to use materials that can withstand high temperatures, such as those near the heatsink. I chose to print with HIPS (High-Impact Polystyrene) and ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene), both of which performed well in my experiments.
