The interior surface can now be smoothed out to achieve a silky exterior finish. A high-temperature red RTV silicone sealant was applied to the gasket, which has proven effective up to 340 degrees Celsius. In my own experiments, I've pushed it to 260 degrees without encountering any problems and with impressive outcomes.
