E3D Chimera mount for Geeetech Rostock Mini G2s Pro
thingiverse
Intended to be printed from ABS for an E3D Chimera, as a mount for your G2s Pro to get rid of the dual MK8 hotends.\nRotate it in your slicer so that the flat part faces downward; Fusion 360 exports things rotated 90 degrees.\nABS ONLY. Nylon and PLA have too low glass transition temperatures, so they warp. If you know how to print polycarbonate, it's best; alternately, print this as a template and cut one out of polycarbonate instead.\nPrint Settings\nPrinter Brand: \n RepRap\n \n Printer: \n G2s Pro\n \n Rafts: \n No\n \n Supports: \n No\n \n Resolution: \n Any, mine is 0.3mm layers.\n \n Infill: \n Solid.\n \n Notes:\n ABS or a higher-temp plastic with a higher glass transition point. PLA warps because screws conduct heat up through the mount and create a soft spot in the plastic.\nYou may have to drill out the Bowden holes if your printer is miscalibrated; mine was when I printed this. A minor error on my part, but it's worth mentioning.\nPost-Printing\nScrew the OEM hotend mounting screws through the printed part before attempting to mount, making life easier by cutting threads.\nThe Chimera topmount hardware works perfectly. For reference, the outer diameter of the circular part is 40mm, the whole thing at its widest is 60mm, and its width is 20mm.
