E3D Chimera+ 40mm Fan Adapter Modified

<p>This is a modified version of boohucky's "<a href="https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1653752">E3D Chimera 40mm Fan Adapter</a>" that uses the two top M3 holes on the Chimera heatsink instead because I didnt have the proper self tapping M3 screws that are used on the front like the original design. It also flips the adapter 180° to not block the heat blocks pointing forward.</p> <p>Requires 2x M3x6 Bolts (8 or 10mm might work) for top mounting</p> <p>4x M3x16 Bolts (depends of fan thickness)</p> <p>Due to the proximity of the the print to the heat blocks and contact with the heatsink I would recommend using a relatively higher temp material like PETG, Nylon, ASA, etc.</p> <p>New Versions:</p> <h3><strong>MK2:</strong></h3> <p>Uses the single top rear mounting hole, useful if your design uses the two top side mounting holes the original uses. Also has partial ducts for diverting air back and up to avoid e.g. blower fans for part cooling or the part itself. (Comment if you'd like a version with fully enclose ducts like the MK3)</p> <h3><strong>MK3:</strong></h3> <p>Uses the same dual top bolts, but has full air ducts for diverting exhaust air upwards to avoid part or other fans like the MK2.</p> Category: 3D Printer Parts
