E3D bowden setup for ORD-Bot Hadron (Ordbot)
thingiverse
This is my personal best fit currently available for mounting an E3D on an Ordbot Hadron. I was unable to find something suitable, so I decided to build one myself. A video showcasing the first print is uploaded on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2TRUi11mMo Several key facts are worth mentioning: - The adapter is built with the E3D V6 in mind but should fit other versions as well, despite not being thoroughly tested yet. - It was created using Autodesks Fusion360 software. I have made the F360 file available for download along with step and iges files. Feel free to modify it, provided you respect the licensing terms. Fusion360 offers a free version specifically designed for startups and enthusiasts; I recommend trying it out. The heat inserts are a preferred choice over nut traps in this setup, hence their implementation here. The bottom heat insert accommodates M4 (4mm) screws, while the upper one is for M3 (3mm) screws - these particular components were sourced from Inserts Direct in the UK. An MK7 feeder by Robotdigg serves as the feed system in this assembly; however, I'm contemplating switching it out soon due to difficulties printing with Filaflex (flexible filament). All STL files are designed with a small gap between connected parts for easier disassembly. This principle applies to both the clamping section and the component that fits into the makerslide. Your feedback is greatly appreciated; I'll make every effort to respond to your inquiries promptly.
