E3D BigBox - Dual Titan IDEX
thingiverse
UPDATE PLEASE SEE BELOW Also have a look at this thread in the BigBox forums for more information This is my IDEX setup for the E3D BigBox It has been influenced by the designs of Chase Wichert and Bjorn from the E3D Forums Chase made the initial Dual Titan design and Bjorn extended it to an IDEX setup I just wanted a more compact design in general and a little more open around the hotends for easier installation and cabling I made a fixed design without extruder cartridges Also I wanted the Z sensor as close as possible to the hotend This design also features 300x200mm build space for both hotends Another side effect of the horizontal placement of the motors is that it is possible to use larger NEMA14 motors up to 61mm body length For example the 14HS20-1504S has a body length of 52mm and a torque of 40Ncm which is as high as the original NEMA17 motor for the X axis I used an IGUS Series 4 chain with 25 elements plus the end pieces You need two of them so 50 elements and end pieces Chain part number: 04.10.015.0 End piece part number: 040.10.12 As the end pieces cannot move as far as needed to mount them to the carriages you will have to use a cutter saw and file to make it possible they can be mounted 90° compared to the chain You do not need exactly that chain but at least a chain with a radius of at max 15mm The supplied chain drag anchors are for the IGUS Series 4 chains If you want to mount the fan duct on the right carriage you have to move your camera a little new mounts provided I added X carriage parts and a mount for the IR probe Also different fan ducts are needed for the IR probe Though you can use the BLTouch duct on the right carriage if you want to Small changes to some other parts can't remember which ones I changed the belt clearance in the X carriages by 2mm Changed parts are all X carriage party not the clamps and the fan ducts for BLTouch
