E3D (and clones) V5 heater block Silicone Mould.
thingiverse
A file to print both parts of a mould for creating a silicone hot end cover designed specifically for E3D V5 heater blocks and their clones. Print the components, then de-bur the interior of the container and the exterior of the insert. Apply a layer of vaseline coating to protect the surfaces. Next, fill the container halfway with high-temperature silicone rubber, followed by inserting the insert and gently pressing it into place until securely seated. Allow the mixture to set completely before carefully removing the insert. If necessary, cut away the excess material from the container for easier removal; ABS plastic is recommended for this step due to its more favorable properties compared to PLA. High-temperature silicone rubber is the preferred choice for mould making and special effects, as it offers exceptional durability and resistance to high temperatures. Alternatively, instant gasket materials can be used, which set upon contact with air, although they may take several days to fully cure. Please note that 3D printed models often exhibit minor porosity, which can hinder the curing process of these materials. When reassembling your hot end assembly, ensure that any stray silicone fragments do not become lodged in the heatbreak or nozzle threads.
