E3D Aero Fan Shroud V2 - Remix
thingiverse
Hi there,\r\n\r\nI modified this excellent design to fit my printer (my heat block is on a significant angle). This uses one screw to mount to the Aero with a small ridge for support.\r\n\r\nI also changed the air openings so they are now 45-degree downward-facing slits... I had some issues with thermal runaway previously.\r\n\r\nThis setting, however, was probably the real solution:\r\n\r\n#define ADAPTIVE_FAN_SLOWING \r\n\r\nCurrently, I print in PLA and the fan duct is holding up without deformation.\r\n\r\nUPDATE: I added a version with a rotated fan to allow the Aero heat sync to cool more efficiently.
