The Extruder Heat Sink is designed for use with a NEMA 17 stepper motor, featuring embedded fan mounts that are pre-sprued for easy aluminum casting. To assemble the heat sink: Cast the part according to your chosen method. Trim away any excess material from the sprues and vents. Next, tap two of the M3 bolt holes to prepare them for mounting the fan. This will enable you to remove the entire fan assembly in one piece, providing easy access to the rocker bearing mechanism that pushes filament.
