E012 Eachine drone storage box - LASER cut
thingiverse
So, this is simply a LASER-cuttable storage case for your Eachine E012 drone. You can store the drone, remote control, spare Li-ion batteries, spare propellers, and charger cable all in one place so they don't get lost. Of the two lower horizontal pieces inside the box, one is larger than the other - test before gluing! The lid is a little tricky to place or remove until you've played with it a few times, but I wanted to be able to cut and glue a box with effectively no moving parts (no screws, no hinges that stick out, no sliding mechanisms with springs, etc.). Files are in .AI format, and they have layers. I use CorelDRAW with the LASERDRAW plugin, so I need to vector engrave the 'mark' layer first, then cut the 'cut' layer afterward. Organize your own cutting and engraving order to suit your needs. The part 1&2 .AI files are for cutting on a K40 laser (300x200mm limits). If you have a bigger bed, grab the 'full' .AI file and cut it in one go. My K40 laser cuts nicely at 20mm/s with around 4mA tube current. For cutting, I run somewhere around 6-7mm/s at 15mA. Your results may vary as I only use a basic air assist, but I have excellent extraction. I used 3mm MDF material, but acrylic or any other 3mm material should work alright. Be aware that the living latch (needed to open the box) was tweaked for MDF/wood, so you may need to make a new/different pattern to support acrylic. The marks in the base piece are purely for aligning the drone feet holders. The internal spacers not only partition the box for convenient storage but also allow the remote control to sit above the drone and cannot crush it (a stock version anyway). Good luck, and hopefully this is useful!
