I wanted complete freedom to choose my video transmission settings on my Firefly and Vorti drones. Initially, I used the 1.2Ghz frequency, but there were instances where I needed the faster 5.8Ghz frequency more. To accomplish this, I modified a VTX holder that I had designed for my E-Wings birds. To use this bay effectively, you'll need to cut the foam quad section down to size, fitting it onto the caddy base. The caddy itself is held in place by four 12mm M3 screws. Using these screws with foam can be tricky. You can either opt for longer screws, measuring between 15-18mm, or create a hole and fill it with hot glue before screwing them in. This approach works surprisingly well. Printing the caddy requires some finesse due to its unique shape, making supports essential for a successful print.
