E-trex Legend GPS Holder
thingiverse
I like to use my older Garmin handheld GPS when out 4 x 4ing in my Jeep Wrangler, so I created an adapter that bolts onto the back of the GPS and mounts to a typical phone mount ball. This adapter/mount keeps the GPS at a good level where it's easy to view and operate. The adapter is secured to the GPS with a 4-40 x 1/2" Allen head hex bolt, making it a solid connection. A tightening knob uses an 8-32 x 1 1/4" hex head machine bolt and 8-32 nut for added stability and ease of use. You may need to break the edges on the handle and ball mount with a razor knife to get the bolt to fit snugly and the mount to snap onto the ball securely. The adapter is attached to an M-Pow CD phone mount ball, providing a reliable and adjustable mounting solution.
