As shown in my e-NABLE Phoenix Reborn Hand approval video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRb_z7JN86Y This design aims to improve the current raptor reloaded / phoenix / reborn hand tensioner screw/printed adjuster system. It allows for adjustment without tools and eliminates the need for screws on the device. Ideally, I wanted to redesign the entire tensioner block to accommodate this type of system. However, time constraints prevented me from doing so. A similar system was designed for a hand printed at school, and the tensioner system showed promise. When printing screws like these, it's essential to remember that they are critical components. If you give this device to a child and it breaks within minutes, you're not helping anyone. However, with proper care and handling, this design can work effectively. Important Tips for Printing Screws: - Print screws horizontally so the stress doesn't act on layer lines. - Cut screws in half when printing horizontally so they can have flat contact on the build plate. Cutting this screw in half works incredibly well! It allows the entire screw to flex an impressive amount because the neutral axis of the material is now free to move. The nut and string keep everything in place, but it can still slide if caught on clothing or other objects. I cut it in half using slic3r. This design is optimized for a 145 percent tensioner, and I hope to post a 100 percent version soon.
