e-NABLE Basketball Shooting Attatchment
thingiverse
This project was undertaken as a requirement of the SPU engineering curriculum, where students were tasked with developing an attachment for an e-NABLE hand that could securely grasp objects. To achieve this goal, I designed a component capable of cradling a men's size basketball, allowing users to effortlessly shoot and dribble the ball. In contrast, the e-NABLE hand itself struggles to hold a basketball effectively, due in part to its limited grip radius. By creating an attachment with a circumference matching that of a standard men's basketball, I was able to significantly enhance the control exerted over the ball when compared to the e-NABLE hand alone. The size of this component is comparable to a small or medium-sized human hand.
