The south procession kicks off at block II, stretching all the way to block III, where 16 young women strut their stuff with deliberate slowness, sometimes pairing up as they make their way towards the eastern frieze. Clad in chiton and himation, some of them throw on a peplos over the top for added flair. Girls number two through six proudly hold omphalos phialai, sacred ritual vessels used to make offerings with reverence.
