UPDATE: I've added a new centre section recessed to accommodate a 5mm thick metal plate, which will be laminated over with tapped holes for foil mounting. This e-foil main hydrofoil features the Eppler 817 section, specifically designed for hydrofoils. Dimensions are based on the thread from efoil.builders, which explores the proposed "ideal foil." I haven't yet created the rear foil, but when I do, I'll upload it as well. This foil is completely untested by me and has been divided into sections that fit comfortably in my Flash Forge Guider MK1 with an unheated bed. The idea behind this print is to create a core for the foil that will be laminated with carbon fibre using vacuum bagging. The foil is designed to mount under the beam connecting the front and rear wing. All designs were created in Autodesk Fusion 360, utilizing a profile from airfoiltools.com/airfoil/details?airfoil=e817-il.
