E-Flite Opterra Battery Pod

E-Flite Opterra Battery Pod

I'm working on a project to fit two 5500 mAh LiPos under my Opterra. The goal is to significantly boost its duration and range. To achieve this, I've designed a system that involves cutting two small holes in the underside of the Opterra. This allows me to secure the batteries using carbon-fibre tubes with 'lugs' that support them. A heavy-duty cable tie can be threaded through slots to hold the battery in place, even without the option tail section. The design also includes spikes to improve grip and stability. If you're interested in similar projects, check out my other listings for XT-60 connector mounts.
