A friend of mine who owns an Apprentice required a sturdier motor mount to replace the weak stock component. This part offers an identical fit to the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) item in terms of hole patterns and spacing, motor standoff length and angle, etc., but boasts increased reinforcement and removal of unnecessary holes. Printed from ABS material on a MBI 2X 3D printer with 100% fill, three shells, and .20mm height using MakerWare/Skeinforge software, the mount is notably more rigid without adding excessive weight; installation was seamless.
