E-Cracker loco 16mm scale 32mm gauge
thingiverse
This is my interpretation of the quite famous model steam engine called Cracker. It is in 16mm scale (32mm gauge) and is complete excluding gears, motor, axles etc. There are no instructions as such, but it should all be quite obvious, especially if you look at some built crackers. Note this is an E Cracker and is designed to be run from a 280 type motor, using a standard 10mm worm gear, a 30 tooth 16mm drive gear, powering a 10 tooth gear which drives 3 x 44 tooth gears. All gear should be 0.5 Mod. It is a very slow model due to the gearing, but it is something that little different. The cylinder and axles require brass tube (2mm ID 3mm OD) cut to the appropriate length, the piston rod should be 2mm rod. Grub screws can be used on many parts but I found I did not need them as parts fitted well enough as they were. It will require superglue to hold the piston rod into the pin on the crank. There is a selection of cabs and chimneys as varying heights.Note it will require a 16340 li-ion battery as it's the only battery I could find to fit.
