DÄNKA ironing board retention clip (by IKEA)
thingiverse
IKEA sells the DÄNKA ironing board. It is inexpensive, well designed, and most importantly TALL! I am tall and do not like bending over for long periods of time when ironing.I ordered one for delivery and the rentention clip arrived in a broken state. I called and asked for a replacement rentention clip... and they sent me another full ironing board. And THAT retention clip was broken too! I guess it doesn't handle being shipped well.So that's why we have 3D printers, right? A few minutes of design and printing and I now have working replacement parts for both. The drawing is an excerpt from the IKEA instructions that illustrate where the part goes and how it works to hold the legs in the closed position.Note" It was only AFTER I uploaded this that I found several other designs for the same part on this site. I did mine from scratch but if it doesn't fit well for you, try one of the others!
