My Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal+ vacuum has suddenly started producing a high-pitched whine that's really getting on my nerves, coming out of the wand end. Dyson's repair centre sent me replacement parts, but they didn't resolve the problem at all. I've finally figured out that the annoying whistle is being caused by the small holes in the top of the extendable shaft where the handle clicks into place. I just ordered a tiny piece to cover those holes, and when it arrives, it should silence the whine for good!
